The History of the LCGA

Our journey to bring Cedar Crossing to Linn County is a remarkable story. In 2013, local investors came together to form the Cedar Rapids Development Group (CRDG) after the successful passage of a gaming referendum. Our group included leaders from Peninsula Pacific Entertainment (P2E), which operates premium gaming venues that focus on outstanding service and exceptional quality.

Since that time, the LCGA, P2E and the CRDG have remained close to Linn County business, nonprofit, union and elected leaders that trust them to bring the best gaming and entertainment venue to Cedar Rapids. This project is about more than just building a casino; it is about building a future for our community. Cedar Crossing will meet the growing region’s demand for entertainment, dining and cultural experiences.

Our Timeline:

Cedar Crossing’s journey includes voter approval for gaming, successful licensing and the start of construction in Cedar Rapids. Key milestones mark our progress toward opening a premier destination for entertainment, dining and gaming.
